National Sixties Scoop Healing Foundation

The National Sixties Scoop Healing Foundation of Canada is an independent organization, established with an initial fund of $50 million from the National Sixties Scoop Settlement. We work together as a survivor-led team of volunteers on a series of recommendations to accompany Survivors on their journey to healing.

The National Sixties Scoop Healing Foundation of Canada is currently seeking nominations from its community members to fill positions for the Board of 10 Directors. The SSHF is the National representative to all members within Canada. NSSHFC is seeking members who reflect the diversity of the Survivors within Canada. We welcome Board Members with a diverse background.

Potential Members must meet the following requirements
• An understanding of the history and issues faced by the Sixties Scoop Survivor community
• Not-for-profit board experience
• Proficiency in English
• Must be a survivor of the Sixties Scoop
• Join one committee
• Must be willing to volunteer up to 10 hours per month
• Attend monthly Board and committee meetings

National Sixties Scoop Healing Foundation of Canada

Qualified candidates are invited to apply for the positions posted, for employment with The National Sixties Scoop Healing Foundation of Canada (NSSHFC). The NSSHFC is a charitable foundation devoted to the healing and wellness of Survivors of the Sixties Scoop and their families. The Foundation exists “to enable change and reconciliation, and in particular access to education, healing and wellness, and commemoration activities for communities and individuals.” and to “bridge the generations and give meaning to suffering, as well as to provide healing and reconciliation to the whole of Canada, now and for the future.”
